The xGen UDI-UMI Adapters can be used in applications which utilize TA-ligation workflows such as:
* Because the xGen Methyl UDI-UMI Adapters are methylated, bisulfite conversion can be carried out after the ligation (of the adapter), but before library amplification.
Due to the UMI present on the adapter, the xGen UDI-UMI Adapters are especially suited for low-frequency variant detection (down to <1%).
Note: Strand-specific libraries constructed using the xGen UDI-UMI Adapters have the insert strandedness flipped (i.e., to the opposite strand) when compared to standard TruSeq™-Compatible Full-length Adapters. This strand flip must be accounted for in data analysis for strand-specific applications (e.g., stranded RNA-seq, bisulfite-seq).
